Spring is Here!

Spring is Here!

Hello folks and welcome back! This is always my favourite time of the year, when the flowers start to bloom and the cold and the dark are slowly unwrapping themselves away from us. I’m fully in seed-sowing mode, and getting overly excited about it all - it's also lovely to work on our garden as this will be the second spring that we get to enjoy in our own abode!  We were also fortunate enough to get away in Feb, so I did get a little break from the late winter to northern Italy for a family get together - I can’t tell you how beautiful it was, surrounded by beautiful snowy dolomite mountains - I feel so grateful to have had that time in a different kind of nature, and with delicious Italian food!

Since we have been back though, I have been dividing my time between Stroud and Bristol where we’ve been running the new cafe at The Old Drumbank Studios, and that has been keeping me quite occupied. It’s looking pretty good, and the coffee tastes great, but it has meant that I haven't had as much time in the studio recently as I would have liked. I’ve started to experiment a little bit more with new pieces - such as this gorgeous Fire Agate stone pendant which was such a joy to make! You can now also see my work from my cafe, so if you happen to be in Bishopston, definitely come on by and check it out!

In some exciting developments, I’ll also be taking part in the North Bristol Arts Trail in November for my third consecutive year, and this time around I’ll be fully involved in the organisation as co-chair with the wonderful Caroline Casswell, who makes the most incredible mosaic art. I’m really looking forward to being more involved in the local community where my studio and cafe are based, and to still have such a direct connection to my home city of Bristol.

I currently have one upcoming market:

Stroud Farmers MarketSaturday 25th April

For now that is all, but I’m hoping to book a few more dates once they have been confirmed. At the moment I don't have any markets booked in Bristol, but you can always find my work at The Old Drumbank Studios and at Artigo.
